Tina Cooper and celebrated Artist, Donald James Waters have joined forces to create an amazing new dimension in 3 dimensional Art.Tina creates her beautiful glass vessels and, in this case, her Sunrise Series, ready for them to be taken to another dimension with the handiwork and artistry of Donald James Waters brushes.

Donald is a man who is passionate about his art. He sees it as an adventure that must be experienced not only by the artist – but also by the viewer. When speaking with him, you cannot help but be engulfed by his presence. He sees the world from a spiritual, beautiful and somewhat naive perspective. Listening to Don, you are plunged into the vibrant and colourful world that he endeavours to create on canvas and now on glass. To Don Art must always remain an adventure; he assimilates this to the emotion of driving into a new land and looking down into a valley he has never been before.

This collaboration was born on the night of the “Masked Gallery Walk 2010” when Don in amongst the 300 odd patrons who enjoyed the night skilfully painted both sides of Tina’s vase with his interpretation of life’s journey in paint and glass. It was a new adventure for Don as he has never painted on glass before and thus he has ascended to a new medium which I think you will agree is simply stunning.
