Ramada Resort Corporate Art Installation |
|
Page 1 of 2 The developer of the Ramada Resort, Mr Timothy Wright, was inspired to incorporate a suspended public art component in the resort following his overseas travels and as a lover of the uniqueness of hot glass commissioned Tina Cooper to create her magic for him. Tina exceeded his greatest expectations and designed an awe inspiring representation of Australia's famous coral reefs with a 2 x 2 metres floating glass ceiling filled with sea shape to feel like you are looking up under the seafloor itself. As you ascend the foyer staircase the walls are filled with assorted colourful 3 dimensional coral clusters with a giant glass jelly fish chandelier majestically suspended in mid air. The vibrant colours of our coral reefs shine exquisitely with the medium of molten glass and the multitude of coral clusters, cheeky character fish, seaweed and stingrays takes the viewer on a journey of awe at the beauty of what lies off Australia's northern coastline. Here are some images of the amazing installation. Please click on the thumbnails to open the image slideshow. Note that we have 2 pages of images to view.
