The Tina Cooper Gallery is proud to announce that it has joined the "Galleries of Eumundi Art Walk". The Galleries of Eumundi Art Walk was Launched on Sunday 5th April 2009. Seven galleries from Eumundi's ‘Memorial Drive' have teamed together to show art lovers, both locals and tourists, that Eumundi is a destination not just for markets but for quality artwork, by creating a fold-out guide to the galleries. Eumundi has sprouted some exciting new businesses over the past twelve months, adding to what was already a pulsing creative hub. The common elements between the new businesses, whether restaurants, galleries or specialist shops, is their one-of-a-kind flavour, and passion for the art of sensory delighting. Following an afternoon of soaking up the artwork, ‘art walkers', artists and gallery owners will have plenty to chat about over a cocktail as the sun goes down. Treefellers' new owner, John Guy, hopes the Art Walk Launch will begin the re-birth of the classic Queensland ‘Sunday Session' in the charming hinterland town. "There's something to be said for kicking back on a breezy balcony mixing with a group of people, enjoying local music with some nibbles and drinks", says John. Treefellers is one of many new top restaurants to be enjoyed along the strip, others including award-winning Modern Primitive, Food @ Eumundi and more. Each gallery will be hosting something special of their own on the day, including demonstrations and new exhibitions. For a sneak preview, visit www.galleriesofeumundi.com and click onto the links of the various galleries.
